Our work:
To give everyone a warm welcome.
- To provide a Friendly presence in the public areas of the meeting house.
- To hand out free pamphlets and/or sell literature and gift items.
- To provide interpretation : Quakerism, faith and practice (all branches), history, ideals, testimonies, and faith in action, past and present.
- To give historic interpretation for William Penn and the founding of Pennsylvania. In this Quaker colony the “Seeds of a Nation” were planted and from them developed the values that define us and our culture as “American”.
- To provide outreach and hospitality in an inclusive and loving manner.
If you enjoy one or all aspects of the work described above, please consider volunteering a few hours a month.
We are open six days a week, Monday though Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
-Flexible schedules.
-Seasonal work– spring and fall when school children tour historic sites.
-Training material will be provided. Make the interpretation your own.
-Provocative and enriching discussions with other guides and greeters.
-The best volunteer appreciation luncheons.
